Many of our members recently received an email asking them to sign in to our new membership system. This email was not a hoax and is a legitimate email. We have moved to an online membership system that allows our members to update their membership and pay their dues online.
Another email will come out in the next couple of days asking you to renew your membership. Due to a misconfiguration in expiration dates, you will end up with two emails. We apologize for this.

As our Beach Captains start making their annual membership visits, we wanted to share a new tool that is going to make our communcations efforts better....but we need your help.
Please help us communicate with you more effectively:
LDA has a new website host, ClubExpress, which specializes in helping clubs and associations manage and communicate with their membership. Some of the features of ClubExpress are an online Membership Directory, a very secure database for contact information and easier communication tools to share information such as Forums, News, Document Library, and Surveys. We need your help in keeping your membership information up to date and current.
Your name and email, along with some other key information, has already been loaded and an account has been created for you.
To access your account, go to the website at ~~club_url~~, then click the "Member Login" option to log in. Here is your account login info:
User name: ~~login_name~~
Temporary Password: ~~password~~
(When you log in the first time, you will be required to change this password to something that is more intuitive.)
Once you have logged in, please click on the "Profile" link to review and update your personal information. In particular, we encourage you to select the Membership Directory choice to add a biography and make yourself visible in the club's directory. You can also specify your Interests and other preferences.
You are also able to pay your dues online using a trusted third party called Stripe. They can accept check or credit card information.
ClubExpress provides a comprehensive events calendar with registration, online discussion forums, news, and email tools that allow us to provide you with more timely information on our activities.
From a club membership perspective, it has been a challenge to make sure the information we have is accurate. Our process used to look like this:
- Beach Captains gather slips, or they are mailed in, with members email and phone number (handwriting can be hard to read)
- Those slips then hand entered (mistakes can happen)
- When we sent out emails, many would get returned as undeliverable
ClubExpress allows us to email all our members and reduce the possibility of getting caught in SPAM. In addition, you can now update your information, ensuring information is always up to date and accurate.
